We value funeral ministry and see it as an integral part of the ministry and mission of the local church.

It’s a vital part of us being the Church of England in serving members of our communities at a time of great need and bringing the love and comfort of God to them.

We work in close collaboration with families and funeral directors when you are faced with bereavement. The Rector, Reverend Andrew Knight or another member of the ministry team liaises with individuals and families to create a service fitting for each person

At St Eata's we offer those bereaved the opportunity to attend a regular ‘Memorial service’. These happen four times throughout the year at St Giles'. In November of each year all those who have been bereaved in the past twelve months are invited to attend our annual ‘All Souls Service’ at St Giles'.
